Celebrating a fresh, custom digital canvas for Seattle painter Rich M Stevens

At Plinths, nothing gets us hyped quite like helping incredible creatives claim their piece of the digital world. Today, we are thrilled to celebrate the official launch of a brand-new digital home for Seattle-based painter Rich M Stevens.

If you aren’t familiar with Rich’s work yet, prepare to have your perspective beautifully warped.

Meet the Artist: From Scotland to Seattle

Born in Aberdeen, Scotland, and raised just outside Atlanta, Georgia, Rich earned his BFA from Birmingham-Southern College in 2001. After exhibiting extensively throughout the Southeast, he relocated to Seattle in 2012, where he can generally be found experimenting, painting, and creating out of his home studio.

The Art: Cheeseburgers, Icons, and Memory

Rich’s work lives at a spectacular, vibrant nexus of pop culture, religious icon art, and lowbrow surrealism. Most notably, he uses the cheeseburger as a brilliant, slightly chaotic metaphor for idealized American monoculture.

Beyond the immediate pop-art appeal, there is immense technical depth to his process. Through extensive layering of UV-resistant resin and acrylic paint, his pieces employ physical depth and overlap. It’s an intentional approach that beautifully captures the fleeting, imperfect nature of human memory in a hyper-digitized, archived world.

A Digital Home Built for the Craft

When we set out to build a platform for Rich, we knew a generic, "one-size-fits-all" template wouldn't cut it. An artistic voice this distinct demands an authentic digital space that reflects the physical depth of the actual work.

We built a clean, responsive infrastructure that gets out of the way and lets his portfolio do the talking. Now, while Rich is in the studio working on his next collection, his website is handling the rest—optimized for discovery, designed for every screen size, and completely fee-free.

Take a look around: Dive into his latest collections and read his full statement at the newly launched Rich M Stevens website.
